Job summary

SisterSong, Inc. seeks a Research Coordinator to support the research team from study design through dissemination, including grant applications and data analysis.

The role centers community-based participatory research and aims to advance reproductive justice with a collaborative, behind-the-scenes focus. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s in public health or related field and 2–5 years of experience in RJ research, including grant funding experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health, social sciences, or related.
• 2–5 years of experience conducting research studies in reproductive justice, sexual and reproductive health, public health, family planning, or related.
• Experience leading qualitative research projects.
• Track record of successfully gaining funding for research.
• Experience working/volunteering in reproductive health, rights and justice.
• Commitment to advancing reproductive justice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day components of SisterSong Research Team’s portfolio of community-based participatory research studies, including administrative tasks, event support, reporting, data analysis, collection, write-up and dissemination.
• Co-lead on identifying and applying for grants to support the Research Team’s portfolio.
• Contribute as a thought partner on development of new SisterSong research studies and partnerships.
• Support growth by nurturing existing partnerships and pursuing new ones.
• Serve as a representative of SisterSong across RJ movement and research spaces.
• Assist with cross-departmental and all-staff events such as Essence Festival of Culture and related conferences.
