Job description

Job Title: Research Coordinator & Lab Manager (Remote with On-site Requirement)

Stanford University is seeking a Research Coordinator & Lab Manager to work remotely, with on-site presence required once a week or less. This role involves ensuring data quality control for research studies within the Stanford Computational Neuroscience Laboratory, supporting multiple projects including NCANDA-A, and managing lab operations such as calendar and meeting coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage patient and laboratory data, develop study documents, and complete case report forms.
  2. Ensure compliance with research protocols, review data for accuracy, and handle regulatory submissions and IRB renewals.
  3. Monitor study expenditures and budgets, resolving billing issues collaboratively.
  4. Manage lab calendar and coordinate meetings.
  5. Interact regularly with the principal investigator.
  6. Maintain proper documentation of research data in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.
  7. Knowledge of neuroscience and coding skills are advantageous.
Desired Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree or on the path to graduation in biomedical data science, neuroscience, or cognitive science.
  2. At least 1 year of experience in clinical research coordination, lab management, or data collection.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education & Experience:

Two-year college degree plus two years of related work experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Strong interpersonal skills.
  2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  3. Knowledge of medical terminology.
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Knowledge of neuroscience and coding skills are a plus.
  6. Ability to operate digital devices for recording videos.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and fine motor tasks.
  • Occasional sitting, reaching, lifting up to 40 pounds, and other physical activities.
Working Conditions:
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours.
