Position Summary

The School of Social Work Research Center, and the School of Social Work, seeks applications through the academic year from individuals who are interested in obtaining temporary or special research positions within the department in the areas of child well-being and maltreatment. This position(s) will support and be part of a team of researchers completing applied research studies and program evaluations in child welfare and related fields for county, state, and federal agencies. The open position(s) may be temporary or special assignment. Annual terms may depend on continued availability of funding.

Qualifications for Research Associate I are for individuals with a Bachelor’s degree and less than 3 years of professional, post-baccalaureate experience.

Qualifications for Research Associate II are more than 3 years of relevant professional experience for an individual with a Bachelor’s degree, or a Master’s degree and no other significant professional experience.

Qualifications for Research Associate III are individuals with a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of work-related experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 2 years experience. Individuals with a PhD who have no additional experience may also be appointed to this position.

Required Job Qualifications

  • Research Associate applicants must hold a B.S. degree in an appropriate discipline.

Preferred Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of one-year work experience is preferred.
