Job summary

Furman University is seeking a Research Assistant/Associate for the IACH Community Action unit to support collaborative research and evaluation with clinical and community partners. The role spans study design, data collection, and dissemination across multiple projects.

The successful candidate will contribute to preparing study materials, managing data using REDCap and Qualtrics, and assisting with manuscripts and grant reports.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in public health, social work or related field with one year of research experience.
• Master's degree preferred; PhD may substitute for postgrad research experience.
• Knowledge of community-engaged or CBPR methods.
• Progressive experience leading research/evaluation projects in clinical or community settings.
• Experience with quantitative data analysis such as logistic, linear regression, and SEM.

Responsibilities

• Learn about emerging research methodologies in public health, social sciences, and CBPR.
• Provide indirect supervision and mentorship to junior research staff.
• Schedule and facilitate study meetings with internal and external partners.
• Represent IACH in academic, professional, and community settings to foster partnerships.
• Monitor progress towards study timelines using technology solutions (e.g., Asana).
• Conduct systematic and literature reviews to ensure evidence-based practices.
