Job summary

Anthrogen is seeking a Research Associate to join its San Francisco team. You will own bench workflows—from construct preparation to sample quality control and assay execution—and work closely with Platform scientists to learn new methods and refine experiments.

You will execute molecular biology workflows, express and purify proteins, and ensure rigorous data records while improving protocols for higher throughput and reliable results.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on molecular biology or protein biochemistry experience.
• Ability to run a workflow independently and troubleshoot systematically.
• Careful with samples, controls and records; able to explain data quality.

Responsibilities

• Execute molecular biology workflows including cloning, PCR and construct verification.
• Express and purify proteins and prepare samples for assays.
• Run established assays with appropriate controls and help develop new ones.
• Keep clear experimental records and perform initial data analysis.
• Improve protocols and lab workflows to boost throughput without sacrificing data quality.
