Revvity, Inc., in San Diego, seeks a Research Associate in the Molecular Cellular Biology group to develop recombinant protein/antibody products and participate in early product development. Responsibilities include preparing cell culture media, performing cloning (seamless cloning) and plasmid verification, PCR, and purifying proteins/antibodies with affinity tags, plus weekly results presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences required.
• 1 year of molecular biology laboratory experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cell culture media for experiments.
• Perform cloning, e.g. seamless cloning, and verify plasmid sequences.
• Perform PCR and DNA purification for molecular cloning.
• Perform mammalian and bacterial cell cultures.
• Purify recombinant proteins/antibodies by affinity tags.
• Perform protein SDS-PAGE and DNA agarose gel.
• Document experiments and generate reports with other research staff.
• Maintain DNA inventory and laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Assist in troubleshooting experiments and develop new procedures under supervision.
• Other projects or responsibilities as required.
