Job summary

Aquent Talent is partnering with a world-renowned sport research lab to advance human performance. We seek a meticulous researcher to support Mind Sciences studies involving participants, ensuring protocol fidelity and data integrity.

You will set up and run neuroimaging and behavioral measurements, onboard participants, and contribute to study design under senior guidance. Collaborative team environment with strong safety and privacy emphasis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience or related field required.
• 4+ years of human-subject research with Bachelor's or 2+ with Master's.
• Experience executing studies with human participants.
• Familiarity with neuroimaging tools and data analysis.

In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of human-subject research, directly enabling studies that reveal how innovative products translate into tangible benefits and enhanced performance for athletes worldwide. Your execution will ensure the integrity and success of critical scientific investigations, working closely with senior researchers to bring complex studies to life and make a real impact on product development and athletic potential.

What You'll Do

• Execute human-subject research studies designed by senior researchers, playing a crucial role in scientific discovery.
• Prepare research spaces and meticulously organize study materials to ensure seamless participant experiences.
• Adhere precisely and consistently to established protocols, ensuring data integrity and scientific rigor.
• Collaborate closely with researchers and lab personnel, driving studies from inception to successful completion.
• Welcome and onboard participants, clearly explaining procedures, answering questions, and maintaining their comfort throughout sessions.
• Verify all informed consent documentation is thoroughly completed and signed before any study activity begins.
• Proactively monitor participant comfort and well-being, escalating any concerns appropriately to ensure safety and positive experiences.
• Set up, calibrate, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced neuroscience research equipment, including EEG, fNIRS, and related physiological or behavioral measurement systems.
• Confirm all equipment is fully functional and ready for research prior to every data collection session.
• Document and communicate any technical issues promptly and clearly to senior researchers.
• Collect high-quality physiological, behavioral, and subjective data, continuously monitoring quality in real time.
• Label, store, organize, and transfer data diligently according to established procedures, safeguarding confidentiality and integrity.
• Maintain accurate study and participant records with the utmost attention to privacy and data security.
• Perform preliminary data cleaning, processing, visualization, and quality control checks under the expert guidance of senior researchers.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience or a closely related scientific field.
• 4+ years of relevant human-subject research experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years with a Master's degree.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience executing human research, involving direct interaction with human subjects during studies.
• Familiarity and practical experience with neuroimaging tools, including their application to human participants.
• Ability to conduct basic research and data analysis.
• Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the discipline to follow complex protocols precisely.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Master's degree in Neuroscience or a related scientific field.
• Hands-on experience specifically running EEG studies.
• Experience with fNIRS or other related neurophysiological technologies.
• Prior experience working with athletes in a research context.
• Background in sensory perception research.
• Experience gained in a neuroscience, human performance, biomechanics, or applied research laboratory setting.
• Working knowledge of MATLAB, Python, R, or Excel for basic data processing and manipulation.
• Familiarity with human-subject research requirements and informed consent procedures.
