Job summary

InBios International, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Research Associate III to support the development and manufacturing of molecular diagnostic assays in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The position emphasizes design, optimization, and validation of multiplex qPCR assays, nucleic acid extraction from clinical samples, data analysis, and documentation. It is a part-time, on-site role with funding for about one year and potential for extension based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of industry experience in molecular diagnostics or life sciences.
• Experience with primer and probe design and DNA/RNA sequence analysis.
• Experience with multiple PCR platforms and automated extraction systems.
• Familiar with BSL-2 pathogens and handling human clinical samples.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize, and validate multiplex qPCR diagnostic assays.
• Perform nucleic acid extraction from BSL-2 human clinical specimens.
• Conduct analytical and clinical validation studies for qPCR assays.
• Analyze data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports.
• Perform in-house reference testing to support assay development and quality activities.
• Collaborate with antibody engineering team to support binder discovery and screening.
• Maintain lab records and ensure biosafety and quality compliance.
