Job summary

WuXi AppTec Group is seeking a Research Associate III in San Diego to join our assay development team. You will support cell-based and biochemical assays and contribute to high-throughput screening efforts used in SAR programs.

The role requires a strong background in molecular and cell biology, mammalian cell culture, and precise data communication with internal teams and clients. This is an on-site laboratory position in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Molecular Biology required with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of complex scientific procedures with proficiency in molecular and cell biology.
• Excellent written and oral communication in a team setting.

Overview

Job Summary: HD Biosciences Inc., a WuXi AppTec company, located in San Diego, is looking for a highly motivated Research Associate III to join our assay development team to support cell-based assays and biochemical assays etc.

Responsibilities

• Support cell based assays and biochemical assays as requested
• Support High throughput screening and perform assays in biochemical and cell based formats that are suitable for SAR screening in 96 or 384-well formats.
• Deep understanding of molecular biology and cell biology and experience in mammalian cell culture and compound handling techniques.
• Effectively communicate with internal team colleagues and external clients to promote world-class services.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Molecular Biology is required and 3+year work experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong understanding of complex scientific procedures with technical proficiency in molecular and cell biology
• Outstanding written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to seamlessly fit within a teamwork driven environment.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills
• Need to be able to read, write and understand English
• Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in an office environment with minimal noise conditions.
• Must be able to work in Lab setting with exposure to Animals/biohazards / Chemicals (List specific Chemicals)
• Must not have animal allergies to applicable species in this facility
• Must be able to wear appropriate PPE
• Must be able to work in environment with variable noise levels
• Ability to stand /Sit/walk for long periods of time

Anticipated salary range: $26.61 to $34.62
