LGC's Research Associate II, OEM/Special Projects, stationed on-site in Maryland, supports development and optimization of molecular diagnostics, including nucleic acid purification, PCR-based analyses, and cell culture. Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, or related field with lab experience.
• Experience with DNA/RNA purification, PCR (endpoint, real-time, digital), gel electrophoresis, and DNA/RNA processing.
• First-hand experience with aseptic techniques.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills for internal collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform general molecular techniques including nucleic acid purification, gel-electrophoresis, RNA transcription, cell culture, and bacterial culture.
• Perform nucleic acid analysis (RNA/DNA integrity, real-time qPCR, digital PCR) and analyze results.
• Culture cells using aseptic techniques and process cultured cells.
• Manufacture products following SOPs and work instructions.
• Maintain and organize data using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and EtQ document control system.
• Plan and execute experiments with supervision and ensure GLP/GMP documentation.
