University of Massachusetts Medical School is seeking a Research Associate II to provide operational support in the laboratory and conduct experiments with a degree of independence under the PI. The role involves data interpretation, record maintenance, and literature review, contributing to ongoing projects.

The candidate will work in a collaborative lab environment, prepare materials, and assist with safety regulations and protocol development as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological or natural science and 18 months of relevant research experience or a related master’s degree.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to analyze complex visual data in a quantitative and objective manner.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Perform laboratory experiments and may lead a single research project.
• Interpret data and determine next steps with PI guidance.
• Maintain accurate records and modify protocols with PI approval.
• Review literature, publications and grants relevant to projects.
• Record results according to lab, sponsor and university protocols.
• Present findings at lab meetings and monitor supply levels.
