Antheia, located in the Menlo Park area of California, seeks a Research Associate in DSP to advance purification processes for bio-derivedStarting Materials and APIs. You will perform experiments, collect data, and collaborate across Biology, Analytics, Operations and Quality to deliver scalable, compliant processes.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, data integrity, and working with cross-functional teams to meet tight development timelines.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or applicable area with 2+ years industry experience
• Analytical and compound isolation laboratory experience
• Hands on experience with bench scale filtration, evaporation and crystallization
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience writing reports
• Analytical Chemistry experience with HPLC/UPLC a plus.

The scope of the Research Associate DSP includes understanding fate of impurities, product stability and
degradation mechanisms, identifying unit operations and key parameters to establish operating ranges
and meet target COGs. This position will require managing unit operations and collecting data towards
developing scalable processes to separate and purify bio-derived Starting Materials and APIs from bench
to Pilot scale. Laboratory skills in sample preparation and analysis, Liquid-Solid separation, Liquid-Liquid
separation are required. A successful incumbent will work cross-functionally with Biology, Analytics,
Operations, Quality and Regulatory departments to support the team in developing sustainable
processes that produce in specification products in the timelines established.

The base compensation for this role is $80K - $100K based on demonstrated relevant skills and experience.
