Job summary

Biolinq is seeking a highly motivated research associate to join our Innovation team at the San Diego headquarters. You will contribute to the design, synthesis and assessment of next-generation aptamer-based electrochemical biosensor architectures, and support data extraction and interpretation within a fast-paced wearable biosensor program.

The role requires a BS in a relevant engineering or chemistry field with 2–4+ years of lab experience (MS optional).

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields.
• Requires 2-4+ years of experience with B.S. or 0-2+ years of experience with M.S., with a track record of excellence in performing technical duties in a scientific/life sciences lab.
• Strong working knowledge of electrochemistry and electrochemical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize novel electrochemical biosensor architectures to validate scientific hypotheses.
• Maintain laboratory safety and care of equipment.
• Prepare chemicals, reagents, buffers, and solutions to support laboratory activities.
• Catalog raw materials and communicate with suppliers for custom reagents or fixtures.
• Execute automated electrochemical experiments, calibrations, and document results with quality control.
• Analyze large datasets to compare biosensor performance in vitro and in vivo.
• Present frequent briefings to the team about motivations, procedures, and results.
