HireLifeScience seeks a Molecular Biology Technician to join the Cell Line Development (CLD) group. The role focuses on generating, storing, and distributing DNA plasmids to support pipeline and tech development within CLD. You will provide recombinant DNA plasmids and assist with plasmid upscaling, QC, and data entry.

The person in this role will work as part of the Cell Line Development (CLD) Group, joining a team responsible for generating, storing, and distributing DNA plasmids to support pipeline and technology development within CLD. As a member of the core molecular biology team, the successful candidate will provide recombinant DNA plasmids essential to cell line generation, combining strong molecular biology skills with the ability to understand and execute complex cloning strategies.
Beyond producing plasmids requested de novo, this individual will also support plasmid and data management activities across the group. Day-to-day responsibilities include retrieving stored DNA plasmids, managing DNA upscaling both in-house and at contract research organizations (CROs), performing quality control on newly generated DNA batches, and delivering finished materials to requestors. The role also involves processing new DNA batches and entering associated metadata into the repository and freezer tracking system.
