Job summary

HireLifeScience seeks a Molecular Biology Technician to join the Cell Line Development (CLD) group. The role focuses on generating, storing, and distributing DNA plasmids to support pipeline and tech development within CLD. You will provide recombinant DNA plasmids and assist with plasmid upscaling, QC, and data entry.

The ideal candidate has strong molecular biology expertise, can troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment, and communicates effectively within and across teams.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in biology or related field with 1+ years in a research laboratory or biopharma/biotech.
• Experience with molecular cloning techniques and plasmid design.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve stored DNA plasmids and manage DNA upscaling in-house and at CROs.
• Perform quality control on newly generated DNA batches.
• Deliver finished materials to requestors.
• Process new DNA batches and enter associated metadata into repository and freezer tracking system.
