Job summary

The Geneva Foundation is seeking a Pre-Clinical Research Associate to support laboratory research at the USU 4DBio³ Center in Rockville, MD. The role emphasizes cellular, chemical, and materials-based research with hands-on duties in culture, assays, and data handling.

Responsibilities include executing studies, documenting progress, and preparing reports under supervision. Requires a Bachelor's in a life science and 1–3 years of lab experience; must be eligible to work in the U.S.; on-site role

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in bioengineering, molecular biology, biochemistry or cell biology.
• 1–3 years of laboratory research experience.
• Aseptic techniques and handling of cell lines with culture experience.
• Cell culture and cell line propagation; BSL-2 laboratory experience.
• Hematopoietic stem cell and/or iPSC culture/differentiation experience preferred.
• Flow cytometry experience; scale-up and bioreactor knowledge preferred.
• Molecular biology techniques; good oral/written communication.
• Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines; U.S. work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Execute research studies under supervision; manage study documentation.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate with the PI and team.
• Procure supplies and equipment per research budgets; assist with reports.
• Participate in regular team meetings and training; ensure GLP/OSHA compliance.
• Maintain safety and infection control procedures at the duty station.
