Job description

Overview

Labcorp is seeking a Research Associate I – R&D, Medical Devices to join our team in Burlington, NC. This role supports the development, validation, and commercial launch of rapid, point-of-care toxicology diagnostic devices. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
  • Generate reliable data from experiments, analyze results, note deviations, and suggest relevant follow-up experiments to the supervisor.
  • Work independently on projects of moderate to complex scope, collaborate with project teams, troubleshoot issues in experimental design, present results to colleagues, and maintain accurate experimental notebooks.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree; Master of Science degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in R&D (or equivalent), preferably in development of immunoassays and point-of-care devices under design control.
Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, good troubleshooting skills, and effective communication of results.
