Job summary

Koch Institute's BHATIA LAB seeks a Technical Associate I to join a dynamic research team working on nanotechnology-based diagnostics and cancer therapeutics. You will perform mammalian cell culture, molecular biology assays, and data analysis under supervision, contributing to the lab's cancer and malaria research projects.

The role includes helping with laboratory operations, safety compliance, and coordination with biologists and engineers to advance the project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or bioengineering required; at least two years of specialized lab experience.
• Strong written and spoken communication, highly organized and detail-oriented; service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory operations, safety training, and equipment maintenance.
• Conduct experiments including mammalian cell culture, RT-qPCR, and imaging under supervision.
• Collect, record, and analyze data; present findings to the research supervisor.
• Participate in lab meetings and literature review; assist with ordering and lab stocking.
