Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $74,000.00/yr

Regel Therapeutics is a gene modulation therapy company focused on improving the life of patients suffering from disorders resulting from alteration of gene expression. Our proven T3 (Targeted Therapeutic Technology) platform combines AAV delivery with two proprietary technologies for efficient and specific restoration of gene expression exclusively in the cells affected by the pathology. We are a seed-stage startup based in Cambridge, MA and Berkeley, CA and are looking for a talented Research Associate to join our R&D team and work under the guidance of senior researchers.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform histological analysis of tissues from in vivo preclinical studies
• Establish and implement in vivo screening methodology
• Validate hits using histological and molecular biology techniques
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of activities
• Communicate research findings to leadership

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS or MS in biology, neurobiology or related field with 1-3 years relevant research experience in laboratory setting
• Experience with tissue sectioning (e.g. using a vibratome and/or cryostat)
• Experience with immunohistochemistry and microscopy
• Experience with performing basic analysis of experimental data
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proven track record of working in collaborative environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Zeiss Zen and FIJI
• Experience with in situ hybridization and/or RNAscope
• Previous experience working with AAVs
• Experience extracting and analyzing nucleic acids and proteins from animal tissue
• Experience with standard molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, dPCR, ddPCRetc.)
• Experience with protein extraction, analysis, and associated biochemical techniques (Western Blot, ELISA, etc.)
