Job summary

NC State University’s Friday Institute seeks a Research Associate to help build and scale a growing portfolio focused on digital learning, including computer science and AI education, and to translate research into coherent programs, resources, and field-ready deliverables.

You will manage projects and partnerships, prioritize work, and communicate clearly to support national, state, and local education leaders.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Education or Technology, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years as a K-12 educator, technology leader, or researcher.
Project management, organizational, and coordination skills.
Strong communication skills for academic, practitioner, and partner audiences.
Knowledge of digital learning and CS/AI education.
Experience developing instructional or implementation materials.
Facilitation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Build and scale a growing portfolio of digital learning work, including CS and AI education.
Translate research and partner input into coherent programs, resources, and field-facing deliverables.
Turn ideas into strategies and resources, prioritizing work and guiding projects from planning to execution.
Support proposals, funder communications, project reporting, and ongoing impact communication.
