Qualifications

• Experience with solution preparation, PCR, cloning, and light microscopy.
• Experience with non-mammalian model organisms (e.g., Drosophila, C. elegans, Xenopus, or zebrafish) and supervision of student researchers.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced laboratory techniques including maintenance of generational algal and Daphnia cultures, nucleic acid extraction, and sample preparation.
• Supervise and train undergraduate researchers working on arsenic-related projects.
• Maintain the cell culture laboratory and perform assays such as ROS/LDH, immunostaining, and microscopy.
• Inventory and order supplies; coordinate care for Daphnia; present results to the research community; travel as needed.
