Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL, invites applications for a researcher to advance statistics, data analytics, and machine learning with a focus on multimodal data fusion for biomedical risk assessment.
The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in a related field, lead collaborative projects, and contribute to grant proposals and dissemination of results through journals and conferences.
Conduct advanced research in statistics, data analytics, andmachine learning with an emphasis on multimodal data fusion andpredictive modeling for lung cancer risk assessment. Develop andevaluate statistical and AI-based methods for feature selection,biomarker identification, and risk prediction using heterogeneousbiomedical data. Contribute to multidisciplinary research projects,identify emerging research opportunities, assist in the preparationof grant proposals and technical reports, and collaborate withfaculty, investigators, and external partners. Provide technicalleadership, mentor junior researchers as appropriate, and supportthe dissemination of research findings through high impact factorjournals, presentations, and grant proposals.
The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in statistics, computerscience, computer engineering, biomedical engineering, or relatedfields and possess strong expertise in statistics, machinelearning, and biomedical data analysis. The position requiresexcellent analytical and technical skills, the ability to developinnovative research methodologies, and experience working incollaborative multidisciplinary environments. The candidate shoulddemonstrate leadership, effective communication, and the ability tocontribute to research strategy, proposal development, technicaldocumentation, dissemination of research findings through highimpact factor journals, and collaborations with internal andexternal stakeholders.
