The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the Perelman School of Medicine seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will initially be for one (1) year, with renewal based on performance and funding, limited to three (3) years.
Required expertise includes Mass Spectrometry. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree.
Responsibilities include developing collaborative and independent research in chromatin biology and proteomics, utilizing advanced mass spectrometry methods for analyzing nuclear proteins and histone modifications, alongside biochemical, cellular, and molecular biology techniques.
The successful candidate will have opportunities to co-supervise postdoctoral fellows, students, and research staff, coordinate NIH-funded projects with collaborators nationally and internationally, and contribute to grant writing, reports, and publications.
