RNAi Platform Advancement, Nucleic Acid Research in TDAE, Client
Purpose:
To provide technical laboratory research effort in support of multiple projects focused on expedited evaluation and the clinical translation of therapies.
Essential Functions:
• Execution of siRNA tool compound screenings and structure activity relationship studies
• Cellular and molecular biology methodologies, e.g., mammalian cell culture; cell-based assays; RNA extraction and RT-qPCR; protein extraction and western blots, ELISAs and MSD assays; histological based assays including standard stains, immuno-histochemistry and in situ hybridization
• In vivo drug candidate testing (e.g., mouse dosing (SC and IV); necropsy; sample analysis)
• Analyze data and present the results in group meetings
• Maintain clear experimental records in laboratory notebooks; write SOPs and other technical reports as needed
• Work closely with research team members to quickly and effectively address critical questions related to the efficacy of our drugs
Qualifications:
• Associates degree with 1-3 years of minimum relevant technical experience (LEVEL I), BS/BA with 3-4 years of relevant drug discovery laboratory experience in pharma industry (LEVEL II)
• Previous experience in cellular and molecular biology is essential (e.g., quantitative real-time PCR, western blots) is required
• Proficiency in animal handling, dosing, and necropsy is desired
• Experience with flow cytometry or cell sorting is advantageous
• Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills, strong work ethics and demonstrated to be an effective contributor to group projects in a team-oriented environment
• The ability to perform and interpret experiments reliably, and to advance projects aggressively towards defined goals is expected
