University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Research Associate to support the collection, organization, and analysis of clinical and research data for the Center for Generative Immunotherapy ( CGI ). You will help develop and maintain data pipelines, databases, and reporting tools to enable efficient research and regulatory compliance.

The Research Associate supports the collection, organization, analysis, and management of clinical and research data generated through the Center for Generative Immunotherapy ( CGI ). Working closely with scientists, clinicians, and research teams, the position assists with processing and maintaining a variety of datasets, including patient information, laboratory results, genomic data, immune profiling data, and other research-related information. The individual helps ensure that data are accurate, complete, well-organized, and readily available to support ongoing research and clinical studies.
The position contributes to the development and maintenance of standardized data analysis processes, databases, and reporting tools that allow researchers to efficiently use information generated from clinical trials and translational research activities. The Research Associate assists with data quality reviews, data integration efforts, and routine analyses that support the identification of biological markers, evaluation of patient responses to therapy, optimization of personalized cancer vaccines, and assessment of immune responses to investigational treatments.
This role is essential to the success of CGI’s mission to accelerate the development and clinical testing of AI-designed therapeutics and RNA -based immunotherapies. By helping manage and analyze large volumes of clinical, molecular, and laboratory data, the Research Associate enables investigators to make informed decisions, monitor study progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and generate the high-quality data necessary to support scientific discoveries, regulatory requirements, and future clinical advancements. The position also helps ensure that data generated across multiple clinical trials and research programs are collected consistently, stored securely, and shared effectively among collaborators, supporting the rapid translation of research findings into improved cancer treatments.
This position will interface with a multidisciplinary team, including computational scientists, immunologists, clinical investigators, data scientists, and other research and administrative staff.
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.
The candidate must be knowledgeable in biomedical, translational, clinical, or computational research activities. Experience working with research databases, biological datasets, or sequencing data.
Relevant genetics, genomics, computational immunology, systems biology and/or biological experience.
