MEF Associates in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Research Assistant to support quantitative research and data analysis across welfare, child care, and related policy areas. Hybrid work with occasional office visits is expected.

You will analyze datasets, conduct literature reviews, help with field research protocols, and contribute to reports, surveys, and presentations under supervision of Associates. A BA/BS in a social science and strong writing skills are required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a social science or related field with an exemplary academic record.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Effective project management and ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven, team environment.
• Commitment to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration across teams.
• Experience in qualitative or quantitative research, preference for public or social policy.

Responsabilités

• Manipulating data and assisting in data analysis using Excel and/or statistical packages (Stata, R).
• Conducting literature reviews.
• Assisting with field research including prototyping protocols, organizing meetings/site visits, notes, transcripts.
• Contributing to reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Assisting with design and implementation of surveys and focus groups.
• Contributing to the company website, marketing, and proposal development.
• Other duties as assigned.
