Job summary

Midwestern University – Glendale campus invites applications for a Research Assistant in the Department of Physiology. The role centers on in vivo mouse-based research, managing colonies, breeding strategies, and coordinating sample collection while ensuring IACUC compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physiology or related field required.
• 0–2 years of relevant research experience preferred.
• Experience with mouse models and regulatory IACUC knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain mouse colonies, coordinate breeding and genotyping.
• Conduct in vivo mouse experiments including handling, dosing, and tissue collection.
• Assist with molecular and cellular assays (RNA/protein extraction, qPCR, histology).
• Collect, manage, and analyze data; prepare figures, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
• Train students and supervise laboratory operations and safety procedures.
