Description:

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of clinical laboratory multi-omics assay R&D under CLIA environment and experience in cancer research and clinical translational research is preferred. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include designing and clinical validating cancer drug screen assays including cell/tissue culture, drug sensitivity profiling, multi-omics assays for cell and organoid genomic profiling under CLIA environment. In addition, the preferred applicant will be responsible for overseeing laboratory QI/QC programs and ensuring laboratory compliance with CLIA regulations. Further research responsibilities will also include developing collaborative research programs related to cancer multi-omics, co-supervision of postdoctoral fellows, students, and research staff, coordinating NIH-funded grant efforts with local, national, and international collaborators, and participation in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts.

A minimum of five years of experience in clinical laboratory multi-omics assay R&D under CLIA environment is required. Preferred applicant must also have experience in cancer research and clinical translational research.
