UC San Diego Health is seeking a Research Assistant for the Department of Pediatrics at Rady Children’s Hospital. The RA will assist with enrollment, consent, data collection in English and Spanish, and collaboration with the team on pediatric cancer equity studies.

The role involves data extraction, regulatory duties, literature searches, grant writing support, and maintaining confidentiality under supervision. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Theoretical knowledge in Public Health, epidemiology, psychology or related field as typically attained by a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with scientific and grant writing.
• Ability to manage priorities and solve logistical problems with independent judgment.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; accurate data entry and typing.

Responsabilités

• Assist in participant enrollment and obtaining consent in English and Spanish.
• Collect, enter and maintain data for the Pediatric Cancer Equity Studies.
• Collaborate with the research team on development of study databases.
• Perform regulatory tasks (IRB) and ensure confidentiality of sensitive data.
• Help with literature searches, scientific and grant writing, and data cleaning.
