Job summary

The Institute for Human Neuroscience, within Boys Town National Research Hospital, seeks a full-time Research Assistant for the PoWER Laboratory. You will support physiology tests, data collection, and manuscript preparation while gaining hands-on neuroscience techniques and daily clinical exposure.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least one year of college coursework; bilingual skills and safety certifications may be required depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of college coursework or equivalent experience.
• Bilingual skills may be required based on assignment.
• BLS certification within 90 days of transfer or hire (if in Cognitive Neuroscience).
• CITI certification within 30 days of transfer or hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of stimuli and development of test procedures.
• Assist in data collection and procedures in studies with animals or humans.
• Maintain safety standards and document lab conditions and results.
• Calibrate, maintain and clean laboratory equipment and workspace.
• Recruit, schedule, and test participants in studies.
• Use computers to analyze and plot results of experiments.
