Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital seeks a full-time Research Assistant in the Physiology of Walking & Engineering Rehabilitation (PoWER) Laboratory. The role involves hands-on human-participant research, data collection, and exposure to neuroscience/biomechanical methods.

Successful applicants will work with lab staff, gain daily clinical experience, and contribute to manuscripts and abstracts, while adapting to a dynamic research environment and patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply knowledge from coursework in multiple disciplines.
• Ability to operate and calibrate lab equipment and other electronic devices.
• Ability to analyze data and communicate results effectively.
• Ability to participate in continuing education on lab safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of stimuli and test procedures.
• Support data collection and procedures in studies involving animals or humans.
• Maintain documentation on lab conditions and results.
• Help calibrate, maintain and clean laboratory equipment and workspace.
• Assist in recruitment, scheduling and testing of research participants.
• Use computers to analyze and plot experimental results.
