Job summary

Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Neurodevelopmental and Imaging Research Center seeks a Research Assistant I to support behavioral and neuroimaging studies on children with neurodevelopmental conditions. The role covers participant recruitment, MRI data collection, data processing, and analysis, contributing to scientific dissemination.

The candidate will work with children and families in a clinical research setting, handling complex neuroimaging datasets and computational tools to advance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Biology or a related field, required.
  • Demonstrated interest in neurodevelopment, child development, neuroscience, or clinical research, preferred.
  • Familiarity with neuroimaging software such as FreeSurfer, FSL, AFNI, SPM, MRICloud or related platforms, preferred.
  • Experience working with children, families, or clinical populations.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB), preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in participant recruitment and assessment.
  • Support MRI data acquisition and neuroimaging data processing.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis and contribute to dissemination of findings.
