Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC is seeking a driven student or recent graduate to support Insights products through rigorous research and organized information management. You will collaborate with Research Managers to draft content and triage data from IQT offices to enhance knowledge sharing and strategic analyses.

The role includes examining global trends in venture capital, technology, and national security, and assisting with integrating AI tools into daily workflows.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship due to contractual obligations.
• Undergraduate or graduate student with coursework in investing, venture capital, tech and innovation, national security or geopolitics/IR.
• Excellent research and analytical abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with the Intelligence Community or DoD is a plus.

Responsibilities

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Identify, collect, synthesize, and organize relevant quantitative and qualitative information to support Insights products
• Draft and contribute to Insights products in collaboration with Research Managers
• Triage, organize, and manage information from IQT offices to support knowledge sharing
• Lead or assist with strategic initiatives including analyzing global trends in venture capital, emerging technology, and national security
• Review existing IQT research to identify key analytic judgments, uncover critical gaps, and highlight areas for additional analysis
• Support the integration of AI tools into research and writing workflows by surveying relevant capabilities and identifying solutions aligned with team needs
• Provide ad hoc support as needed

About You

The company is looking for:

• U.S. Citizenship due to contractual obligations
• Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree with experience or strong coursework in investing, venture capital, entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, national security, geopolitics, or international relations
• Excellent research and analytical abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset
• Familiarity with the Intelligence Community and/or Department of War is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay ranging from $35 to $45, commensurate with experience
• Hybrid work arrangement combining in-office and teleworking in McLean, VA
