Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Research Assistant 1 to join the Laurel Lee Lab in Cardiovascular Immunology. You will perform molecular biology and other experiments, assist with data collection and publications, and work closely with the principal investigator to advance our immune-vascular research.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree with relevant coursework and prior basic science experience; mouse work is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education requirements listed: Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in related field; high school diploma option is listed.
• Experience requirements include 1 year research at Technician level or 4 years with certain college credits or 6 years with GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced experiments in biology, chemistry, or related fields.
• Maintain and organize mouse colonies and conduct mouse experiments.
• Record data in lab notebooks and review with supervisor.
• Read literature and contribute procedures for new experiments.
• Assist in preparing scientific publications and reports.
• Support lab operations and supervise junior staff when needed.
