Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required in accordance with federal contract requirements.
• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Computer Science or Cybersecurity program.
• All students who are awarded assistantships must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate coursework during the terms of their appointments.
• Knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and AI research.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to R&D in AI-driven threat detection, knowledge graph-based cyber threat intelligence, and explainable AI for critical infrastructure systems.
• Participate in software development, data analysis, and system prototyping.
• Present findings in reports, posters, papers, or conferences.
• Optionally intern at Army Research Lab facilities as part of the program.
• Hands-on experience with a federally funded research project.
• Mentorship from ASU faculty with expertise in cybersecurity and AI.
• Internship opportunities at Army Research Laboratory facilities.
• Contribution to real-world DoD cybersecurity solutions.
