Job summary

Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, seeks a Research Assistant to provide ongoing clinical and research support to the College of Veterinary Medicine faculty, including on-campus and extended clinical sites.

Required qualifications include a DVM (AVMA-accredited) or ECFVG certification with Tennessee licensure and grant-writing experience; preferred candidates have immunology training and leadership skills for collaborative research teams.

Qualifications

• Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to faculty, staff, students and the community.

• Work collaboratively with faculty researchers within the CVM.
• Provide clinical and research instruction to veterinary students.

Job description

The Research Assistant shall provide ongoing clinical and
research assistance to the Lincoln Memorial University-College of
Veterinary Medicine faculty including on-campus and extended clinical
sites.

Required Qualifications

Veterinary Medical degree from AVMA accredited college or
school or alternatively successfully complete the AVMA ECFVG
certification program for foreign graduates, license to practice
veterinary medicine in the State of Tennessee, & prior
grant-writing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced training in immunology (PhD or equivalent), grant
organization and management experience, excellent verbal and
written communication skills, demonstrated ability to form
collaborative research groups, demonstrated ability to complete
multiple assignments and meet deadlines, creativity,
self-starting attitude, mindset for development and expansion,
high level of expertise in clinical oncology and cancer
immunotherapeutics, & demonstrated skills as a team worker
and/or leader.
