Job summary

Centricity Research Morehead City, NC is seeking a Research Assistant to support clinical studies from start to finish. You will work with Investigators, CRCs, and the site team to ensure studies run safely, in compliance with protocols and regulations.

The role involves recruitment, data collection, sample processing, and meticulous documentation. This 100% onsite position requires Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Degree in health, science, or a research-related field or equivalent hands-on experience in a healthcare or clinical setting.
• Comfort with clinical tools like ECG machines, blood pressure monitors, and point-of-care testing devices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, compliant documentation.
• Able to thrive in fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Clear and professional communication with participants, colleagues, and external partners.
• Tech‑savvy and able to navigate Microsoft Office and clinical data systems.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of clinical studies from start to finish in alignment with GCP and SOPs.
• Assist with recruitment, screening, informed consent, and documentation.
• Perform delegated clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, sample collection/shipping, and point-of-care testing.
• Maintain source documents, CRFs, CTMS records, and investigate product inventory/storage compliance.
• Prepare for monitoring visits and audits, organize exam rooms and labs, schedule participant check‑in/out.

We area fully centralized Integrated Research Organization (IRO) specializing in conducting Phase I-IV clinical trials in over 35 therapeutic areas: inpatient and outpatient; pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device trials.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Research Assistant (RA) to support the successful execution of clinical research studies from start to finish. In this role, you’ll work closely with Investigators, Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs), and the wider site team to ensure studies run smoothly, safely, and in full compliance with protocol and regulations. This hands‑on role is varied – some days you’ll recruit and screen participants, other days you’ll collect data, process samples, or keep study documentation organized and accurate. Your work will directly contribute to advancing clinical research that makes a difference in patients’ lives.

Please Note: This role is 100% onsite in Morehead City, North Carolina and requires working Monday through Friday, 40-hour work weeks. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available.

What You’ll Do

• Study Protocol & Safety: Conduct study activities in compliance with GCP, SOPs, and protocols; monitor participant safety; and perform scheduled visits and assessments (e.g., vitals, ECGs).
• Recruitment & Enrollment: Support recruitment efforts, screen participants, obtain informed consent, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Study Visit Execution: Perform delegated clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, sample collection/shipping, point‑of‑care testing, and investigational product accountability.
• Data Integrity & Compliance: Complete source documents and CRFs, maintain CTMS records, report adverse events promptly, and ensure investigational product inventory and storage compliance.
• Site & Administrative Support: Prepare for monitoring visits and audits, maintain ISF, organize exam rooms and labs, assist with scheduling and participant check‑in/out, and support outreach events.
