Job summary

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Minnesota invites qualified candidates to join a high-impact research team for a short-term position. Job Duties/Responsibilities

90% Research

  • Conduct research related to specific externally funded projects, including setting up experiments, collecting and analyzing data, troubleshooting challenges, and assisting graduate and undergraduate students on the project, as needed
  • Develop, read and evaluate AI systems impacting real-world experiments and optimizing workflows
  • Supports daily laboratory functioning and equipment maintenance
  • May be asked to contribute to papers or presentations related to research.
  • Attend lab meetings with the entire research group and one-on-one meetings, as needed
  • Attend relevant lectures and training sessions
  • Maintain the highest safety standards that adhere to University policy
  • Assist other lab/community members, as needed

This is a short-term position with an expected end date of December 23, 2026.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 20 hours per week

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least four years.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $25.46 - $27.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 50% Appointment
