Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of laboratory animal care or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks of the Animal Cage Washer as needed.
• Clean, sanitize and sterilize animal cages, feeders, water bottles and related equipment.
• Fill feeders and water bottles per schedules and instructions.
• Use aseptic technique and disease prevention in a biosafety cabinet.
• Move animals between cages following isolation procedures and instructions.
• Record animal health observations and report abnormalities to supervisor.
• Assist with routine treatments and euthanasia as trained.
• Help receive and process incoming animals and materials and ensure compliance with specifications.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

1 year laboratory animal care experience
