Job summary

Ascendo Resources seeks a dedicated R&D Range Manager for our client, an OEM/Private Label armor manufacturer in Miami, FL. The role oversees the Ballistics Range/Laboratory, ensuring NIJ standard compliance and calibration, and the development of test samples and armor solutions.

The candidate will manage testing, inventory, and collaboration across design teams, with duties as assigned by VP of Operations or CEO. Local South Florida residency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the Ballistics Range / Laboratory.
• Ensure the Range complies with NIJ testing standards and calibrations.
• Produce test samples and test them per applicable standards.
• Perform lot acceptance testing on materials/products.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of range materials.
• Collaborate on the design process for armor solutions.
• Support in other duties as assigned by leadership.

A successful OEM/Private Label manufacturer of bullet-resistant armor systems and other armored products for law enforcement, military, and private security personnel are seeking a R&D Range Manager. The position is in office in Miami, FL.

CANDIDATES MUST CURRENLTY LIVE IN SOUTH FLORIDA

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of our Ballistics Range / Laboratory.


• Ensure the Range is operating in compliance with NIJ testing standards and calibrations.


• Produce test samples and test them in accordance with the applicable standard.


• Perform lot acceptance testing on any applicable material / product.


• Maintain proper inventory levels of all range materials


• Collaborate on the design process.


• Create innovative solutions for soft and hard armor


• Help and assist in any area that may need additional support


• Other duties, tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Operations or CEO

Required Skills:
