Job description

Join us to apply for the Research and Development Biologist role at DataAnnotation.

We are seeking a Research and Development Biologist to join our team in training AI models. Your responsibilities will include measuring the progress of AI chatbots, evaluating their logic, and solving problems to enhance model quality.

Requirements include a strong understanding of biology; a completed or in-progress Masters or PhD is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant fields include, but are not limited to: Microbiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Physiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, and Environmental Science.

This is a full-time or part-time REMOTE position, allowing you to select projects and work on your own schedule. Compensation starts at $40+ USD per hour, with bonuses for high-quality and high-volume work.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide AI chatbots with diverse and complex biology problems and evaluate their outputs.
2. Assess the quality of AI models for correctness and performance.

Qualifications:

1. Masters and/or PhD in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
2. Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
3. Detail-oriented with proficiency in biology, reasoning, experimental design, data interpretation, and systems thinking.
