Summary:

In this role, you will conduct, refine, and deliver research and analyses to inform strategy, understand client needs, optimize competitive intelligence, identify opportunities, and develop thought leadership. You will leverage generative AI, business intelligence, and other tools to scale strategic market research and enable real-time insights to drive organizational strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine analytical (e.g., machine learning) models to assess market trends, understand the competitive environment, monitor client needs, identify strategic opportunities, and contribute to thought leadership.

  • Aggregate and analyze data from multiple sources to create holistic views and dashboards of market trends, competitive intelligence, client feedback, and other strategic insights enabling real-time or near-real-time findings from disparate data sources.

  • Partner with other departments across Vizient to collate data sources, create value-add use cases, and make market research accessible and scalable.

  • Develop and maintain data sets and coordinate with others on dependencies.

  • Leverage traditional and novel research tools, and lead the delivery of customized analyses, using internal and external, raw and published data, as well as structured and unstructured datasets.

  • Utilize critical thinking to analyze complex business challenges, identify key issues, and develop innovative, data-driven research that drives strategic decision-making.

  • Perform advanced analyses, synthesize data, develop initial findings, and extract insights in support of the strategic and business planning processes as well as executive decision-making.

  • Establish strong working relationships and active communication with key internal and external stakeholders, ranging from analysts to executives, to effectively manage expectations.

  • Communicate project expectations, updates, and potential risks to team members and stakeholders, including leadership, while providing appropriate resolutions and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics or related field preferred.

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience is required with a background in healthcare market research or strategy strongly desired.

  • Strong capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint are required.

  • Experience working with AI tools and generative AI technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs) and GPT models, and their application to research preferred.

  • Experience with ChatGPT, Perplexity and other AI tools preferred.

  • Competency with BI technologies including Power BI and/or Tableau preferred.

  • Proficient with statistical modeling, machine learning and NLP (Python, R, SQL) preferred.

  • Experience working with senior executives and managing high-stakes projects.

  • Background in presenting market research analysis to an executive audience.

  • High level of attention to detail and ability to ensure the quality and accuracy of research deliverables.

  • In-depth knowledge of data collection and measurement methodologies.

  • Excellent data analysis, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

  • Strategic mindset and a passion for driving timely insights.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
