Job Summary:
As a remote Analyst specializing in Research and Quality Assurance, you play a vital role in ensuring adherence to compliance standards within the Short-Term Rental monitoring and identification process. Your responsibilities include conducting advanced research, collaborating across departments, validating workflows, and delivering quality assurance for the junior research team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize social media, public records, and skip tracing techniques to identify STR operators.
- Collect and archive evidence supporting the identification process.
- Accurately enter findings into a web-based editing tool.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and detail throughout research.
- Implement corrective actions based on feedback from the QA department.
- Review the work of Research Analysts for accuracy and standards compliance.
- Provide feedback and guidance to Research Analysts via communication channels like Skype, Slack, or in-person meetings.
- Collaborate with management to implement improvements.
- Perform additional duties related to quality assurance as assigned.
- Make outbound communications, including emails and phone calls, to property owners regarding VAT/HOT/TOT processing.
Education and Experience:
- High computer literacy, especially with Google Maps and Street View.
- Preferred skills include online mapping, GIS data, social media, and database searching.
- Secondary-school degree or diploma preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently remotely.
- Additional language skills are advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong focus on accuracy in data entry and document management.
- Proficiency in managing records and databases.
- Adaptability to evolving procedures and customer needs.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to resolve routine situations with guidance or instructions.
- Experience with online mapping, GIS, social media, and database searches.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently via remote communication.
- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Remote work setup with four days of on-site training followed by one remote day during probation; post-probation, mostly remote.
- Remote collaboration with occasional in-person meetings for feedback and training.
Physical Demands:
- Constant computer use.
- Frequent communication via Microsoft Teams and emails.
