Job summary

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP in Nashville, Tennessee, invites applications for a legal research professional who will support attorneys, clients, and staff with rigorous research, synthesis of findings, and timely knowledge updates across matters and industries.

You will develop training on legal research resources, participate in evaluating analytics platforms and AI-enabled tools, and help manage multiple priorities in a demanding large-firm environment.

Qualifications

  • MLS, MLIS, or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience conducting legal and business research in a large law firm or similar professional services environment.
  • Strong client service orientation and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business productivity tools.
  • Advanced proficiency with Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, and PACER.
  • Experience with legal analytics and research resources such as Lex Machina, Practical Law, VitalLaw, Checkpoint, Capital IQ, PitchBook, Intelligize, CourtLink, Docket Alarm, Courthouse News, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with generative AI and AI-enhanced legal research tools.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs or presentations preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of firm and client information.

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, skill set, and geographic location.
