Job description

Stanford Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology’s mission is to improve women's health through innovative and compassionate care, education, advocacy and discovery. Our faculty is committed to the highest level of basic and clinical research in Obstetric and Gynecologic science. In particular, we are focused on innovative translational medicine; bringing scientific results from the bench to the bedside.

To support the department’s growing research portfolio, we are seeking a detail oriented, hardworking, and highly motivated Research Administrator 1 to work under guidance in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment to manage the proposal preparation and post award activities on projects varying from federal grants and foundation grants to simple industrial contracts. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, great communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. In this position you will have the opportunity to learn and grow through various internal and external collaborations within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and have a crucial role in supporting the science of women’s and reproductive health.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior research management and/or financial experience is preferred
  • Experience managing projects funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
  • Frequently sit, grasp lightly, use fine manipulation and perform desk-based computer tasks, lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing up to ten pounds.
  • Occasionally stand, walk, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, write by hand and sort and file paperwork or parts.
  • Rarely lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing 11-20 pounds.
