Job description

Resale Franchise Developer (Waco, TX or Remote)

Franchise Transitions is a franchise resale / transition advisory firm specializing in helping Franchisors protect and strengthen their systems during ownership changes. We allow franchisors to focus on what they do best — growing their brand, training new Franchise Owners, and supporting existing locations — while we manage the complexities of franchise resales / transfers.

Franchise Transitions supports franchise systems by connecting qualified buyers with the right brands and guiding franchise owners through structured, strategic exit processes. We ensure that every transition maintains brand integrity, operational continuity, and long-term system health.

When Franchise Transitions partners with a brand, we become a trusted extension of the Development Team — delivering professional resale support, strategic buyer placement, and seamless ownership transitions that protect culture, performance, and long-term growth. We don’t settle for anything less than excellence and serve as trusted advisors committed to strengthening businesses at every stage of their lifecycle.

In addition, Franchise Transitions offers exclusive Broker Services to business owners, providing professional representation to help them successfully sell their franchise. From listing prep and buyer qualification to negotiations and closing coordination, we manage the entire process with discretion and expertise to maximize value and ensure a smooth transition.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Franchisor to identify locations for Resale and to provide counsel to the Franchise Owner throughout the listing and sales process
  • Identify quality candidates and provide counsel to the candidate to assist them in making the best decision for them and their families by following the brand’s Mutual Evaluation Process.
  • Assist in financially qualifying prospective franchise owners
  • Present the advantages, benefits and salable features of owning the particular Franchise
  • Assist candidate in determining funding options to include introduction to preferred lending institutions
  • Facilitate negotiation conversations between Buyer and Seller without providing counsel to either party unless you are representing the Seller through a signed Broker Listing Agreement.
  • Review Franchise Disclosure Document with prospective Franchise Owners
  • Participate in the hosting of future Franchise Owners at Meet the Team Day / Discovery Day events
  • Present the future Franchise Owner’s application to the Review and Selection Committee (RSC) and inform candidate of the decision of the RSC
  • Ensure Franchise Agreements and Transfer Documents are provided to the future Franchise Owner and Seller in a timely manner
  • Collect the funds and process all documents required to execute the Franchise Agreement
  • When representing the Seller as their exclusive Broker, you will provide qualified candidates with a CIM as well as the business financials following a signed NDA
  • Travel as required to Meet the Team Day / Discovery Day events to meet with future Franchise Owners
  • Travel as required to Franchise Transitions or Franchisor Headquarters to complete any initial or ongoing training
