Sylvania is seeking a CT Certified Teacher to lead the RES Chorus for 2026-2027. The role requires organizing performances and directing rehearsals, with duties including arranging concerts and coordinating group schedules.

The director must ensure participants are picked up by a parent/guardian after events and rehearsals, with a year-end reflection meeting. Time commitment is at least twice a week for 30 minutes before or after school.

Qualifications:CT Certified Teacher

Note: An interview may be necessary

Responsibilities:

Arrange school concerts

Make announcements and schedules for groups

Order and organize performance music

Conduct rehearsals and performances

Director may not leave until all participants have been picked up by

parent/guardian (from concerts and rehearsals)

One time meeting for the purpose of End of Year Reflection will be scheduled

Time Requirement: Minimum twice a week for 30 minutes before or after school

Stipend:

$3,311 = ½ paid first paycheck in December, ½ paid in first paycheck in June
