Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory in northern New Mexico seeks a Requirements Management Engineer to deploy and optimize a rigorous RMS for a regulated manufacturing environment, ensuring traceability from stakeholder needs through design and validation.

The role collaborates across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, while supporting RMS integration with PLM, DMS, and other enterprise systems. A Q clearance is required for this federal facility, with onsite work in Los Alamos, NM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4+ years related experience; or equivalent
• Master's degree in Engineering and 6+ years related experience; PhD may be preferred
• Experience with requirements decomposition, allocation, and traceability
• Knowledge of change/configuration management processes and standards
• Experience administering or implementing requirements management tools
• Ability to document results in formal methods and formats
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to work cross-functionally

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain RMS to meet organizational needs
• Build and maintain requirements traceability from stakeholder needs to design and verification
• Assist engineering teams in creating, linking, and managing RMS requirements
• Draft policies and procedures for RMS data standards
• Design interfaces between RMS and PLM, DMS, and manufacturing systems
• Provide training and support for RMS usage and requirements engineering
• Create and maintain documentation for RMS processes and configurations
• Monitor RMS performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Engage in industry standards activities related to requirements management
