  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in electric power engineering, electromagnetics, EMF engineering, high-voltage engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Working knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems and their associated equipment and operating principles.
  • Experience applying engineering analysis and technical problem-solving methodologies to practical industry challenges.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to independently manage assigned technical activities and contribute effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of electromagnetics, including electric fields, magnetic fields, and radio frequency phenomena.
  • Experience with EMF or RF modeling tools such as MATLAB, Python, COMSOL, ANSYS, NEC, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience conducting electric-field and magnetic-field measurements and developing associated testing protocols.
  • Knowledge of transmission-line design concepts, including HVAC, HVDC, overhead and underground transmission systems, grounding, shielding, conductor configurations, and phase arrangements.
  • Familiarity with RF safety principles, occupational and public exposure standards, EMF exposure guidelines, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) considerations.
  • Understanding of potential interactions between EMF/RF sources and medical, communication, navigation, or other sensitive electronic systems.
  • Experience working with electric utilities, research institutions, government agencies, equipment manufacturers, or engineering consulting organizations.
