Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, DC, Inc. in Washington, DC seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse-Midwife to join our medical services team providing comprehensive reproductive and sexual health care including abortion services, gynecology, STI care, and family planning.

The role involves taking health histories, performing pelvic exams, ultrasound, colposcopy, and delivering direct medical care per PPMW protocols, with emphasis on quality, patient-centered service, and

Qualifications

Current DC, MD, or VA license as an NP or CNM. National certification preferred.
Experience in reproductive health care and abortion services is valued.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive reproductive and sexual health care including abortion services, gynecology, STI care, and family planning.
Take complete health histories and record findings accurately.
Perform physical examinations with emphasis on the reproductive system and cancer screening.
Provide direct medical care for core services including abortion care and ultrasound procedures.
Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure compliance with medical standards and guidelines.
Support after-hours calls and participate in risk management activities.
